How many holes does female genitalia have?

Q: One of my classmates (male) wasn't sure about how many holes females have "down there." Can you explain more about female genitalia, the number of holes they have, and what the holes are used for?

A: Females have a total of three holes in their lower genital area. They are the urethra, vaginal opening, and the anus. These holes vary in size and function. You can read more about female genital anatomy (body structure) and physiology (function) in the @plannedparenthood article linked below.,the%20anus%20(AKA%20butthole).
